The values that guide our mission

At 222 International, we believe healthy missionaries build enduring ministries. Everything we do is anchored in biblical principles and care for the individual servant and their family.

Our Core Values

Church involvement

As an organization we believe that the church is God’s vehicle for spreading the gospel to the world. Our expectations is that every worker we help has been commissioned by their own church and will remain in fellowship, however possible, while serving overseas.

Evangelsim

As an organization we use the following definition: Evangelism is teaching the gospel with the aim to persuade. We expect our workers to be skilled in communicating the gospel and committed to sharing the gospel faithfully and courageously with those to whom the Lord gives them opportunity.

Discipleship

Discipleship is central to the Great Commission. We expect our workers not only to proclaim the gospel, but also to help new believers grow in obedience to Christ through teaching, mentoring, and involvement in the local church.

Excellence

Our expectation is that international workers working with 222 International will carry out their responsibilities as unto the Lord, with excellence and integrity.

Long-Term Service

We plan our steps, but the Lord directs our path. While we recognize that there are many reasons to leave the field unexpectedly, our organization holds to the principle that long-term service is best for the work of church planting. Language learning and cultural understanding take years to develop so we prioritize workers who intend to spend a significant amount of time in their host culture.

Theological Faithfulness

Our statement of faith is foundational to our organization. We expect every worker we assist to remain faithful to these tenets of the faith and to refrain from teaching anything that contradicts them.

Language Acquisition and Cultural Understanding

The goal of those we help is to evangelize and disciple people within their host culture. We expect every worker to devote significant time and effort to language learning and cultural understanding so that they can communicate effectively and minister wisely.

Unity and Peace Seeking

Scripture calls us to live at peace with others as much as it depends on us. We expect our workers to pursue unity, humility, and peace in their relationships with ministry teammates, local churches, and 222 International.

Spiritual Health and a Thriving Faith

It is vital that every worker supported by 222 International take intentional steps to maintain a healthy personal spiritual life. We expect our workers to cultivate regular prayer, Scripture intake, fellowship, and dependence on the Lord so that they may serve with joy and endurance.
